Filter Innovations offers a complete line of chemically modified natural minerals and modified activated carbons for our water and air treatment systems. We also offer a wide range of specialty media for deionization, softening, demineralization and removal of contaminants from wastewater, process water and ground water, and specialty media for odor control and air purification. FII specialty media can be easily adapted to work within general filtration systems, fixed-bed media barrels and contactor vessels, air scrubbers and mini-vent media filters.
Specialty Media for Liquid Phase Applications
TM-100: A chemically modified clay/anthracite that removes oil, grease and other low solubility, high molecular weight organic compounds.
Organite 52: A blend of anthracite and chemically modified clay for the removal of oil, grease and other organic compounds (including chemically emulsified organics in water).
Filtral: A granular activated alumina effective in the removal of metals and water-soluble inorganic compounds.
FII Zeolite: A naturally occurring mineral exchanger with a negative charge that removes and holds heavy metals using ion exchange.
FII Resins: Ion exchange organic polymers with an extensive range of applications (e.g., demineralization and purification of wastewater).
HS-200: A zeolite-impregnated media with a 4.1% quaternary amine solution that removes and holds oil, grease and other low solubility organic compounds.
Specialty Media for Air Phase Applications
HS-600: A granular silicate compound impregnated with potassium permanganate that adsorbs and oxidizes polar or low molecular weight compounds and is ideal for odor and corrosion control application.
XB-17: A granular 50/50 v/v blend of HS-600 and activated carbon that is effective in oxidizing acid gases and can adsorb a variety of hydrocarbons.
MM-1000: A pelletized activated alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate that adsorbs polar or low molecular weight compounds and is used for odor and corrosion control.
