Filter Innovations Participates in Ontario Environment Industry Day 2009

TORONTO, ON - (May 2009) Filter Innovations is pleased to announce our ongoing membership with Ontario Environmental Industry Association (ONEIA) and active participation in and sponsorship of the annual Environment Industry Day (EID) which was well received by more than 150 guests held at Queens Park on April 29, 2009.  Roundtable meetings were held covering Waste Management, the Waste Diversion Act, Brownfields, and Sustainable Procurement. A luncheon was addressed by Deputy Minister of the Environment , Gail Beggs, and meetings were held with  Donna Cansfield, Minister of Natural resources; Michael Bryant, Minister of Economic Development;  John Wilkinson, Minister of Research and Innovation; as well as key senior staff from the various ministries. During the evening reception, Filter Innovations had the opportunity to meet the Premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, and the Environment Minister, Honorable John Gerretsen.

Filter Innovations actively participated and contributed to the April 29 2009 report delivered at the conference by Deloitte for the ONEIA titled “Ready to Grow – Making Ontario’s Environmental a World Leader Home and Abroad”.
